Why join the program?
We always see the world from a certain perspective. Creating prejudices, shaping behaviour, and impacting our identities. We want to challenge these perspectives. Whether it is from the viewpoint of being a man, a woman, or any other group. We take people out in nature to explore different perspectives.
Our first perspective journey, is the male perspective:
These days, it can be rather confusing to be a man. While the traditional male role model is being questioned and criticized, there are many competing beliefs and unspoken expectations in society. We expect men to be courageous and strong, but also empathic and sensitive. Men are expected to be assertive and decisive, but also blamed for being dominant and oppressing.
Conflicting expectations create tension and uncertainty around behavior. How does that impact the way we perceive ourselves? Interact with our partner? Raise our children? Lead others? In other words, how does our perspective impact our identity.
As with all of our programs, nature will be key in terms of disconnecting from the distractions and noise of our daily lives. We will spend 4-days in the beautiful Aosta Valley, at the base of the Italian Alps. Different from the Leadership Expedition, we will stay at one location. However, day hikes are part of the program. Besides the walking we focus on physical challenges, personal coaching, group exercises and reflection. Key elements are camaraderie, playfulness, and perseverance.
We know that everyone is different. Each individual has its own needs and preferences. We therefore keep our groups small, so we closely attend to each individual and their specific situation. In effect, every participant gets a tailor-made coaching program within the program.
