Coaching Education
Develop yourself to support the development of others
Program Goals
Our coaching program provides participants with the knowledge and the skills required to effectively support the development of individuals and teams. Our approach builds on the assumption that a good coach has clarity of own biographical patterns, roles and emotional reactions. Our aim is to support the participants in their own growth and thereby enable them to coach and guide others in their change processes. Our 3 main principles:
- Self leadership: Self-leadership is the practice of understanding who you are, identifying your desired experiences, and intentionally guiding yourself toward them. It means taking charge of your own life. As a coach, it is extremely important to be aware of your own path. We need to have clarity about our own triggers to successfully guide others.
- Holistic: We believe that to be a good coach, we need to understand not only the dynamics of the mind, but also consider all other aspects of our being. We use an integrated approach – connecting the mind, the heart, and the body. To integrate these different layers, we use a variety of different methods, incl. systemic approaches, movement, nature, visual representations, acting, meditation and reflection.
- Individualistic: Everyone is different. There is no one-size-fit all solution when it comes to coaching. Each individual has its own needs and preferences. Proven methods need to be combined with intuition. During the program we build a strong foundation of listening and coaching skills and train the coaches to be sensitive to the individual needs. Asking the right question at the right time, being quiet when necessary, or having the ability to intervene and challenge when things get stuck.
The program includes 5 modules. Modules 1-4 consist of 2 & 3 day of workshops. The 5th module takes the form of a 4-day long hike.
The process
Module 1: Coaching basics & biographical patterns
In the first module participants start with assessing their current state, set developmental goals and clarify what they want to achieve in this program. In addition, participants will learn about their role as a coach and the attitude it takes to be able to accompany people in situations of change and development. Lastly, participants will examine their own biographical patterns. While at the same time gaining understanding of concepts such as survival mechanisms and traumas, and the effect those have on the behaviors of others.

Module 2: Emotional awareness & intuition
The second module focuses on emotions & intuition. In change processes, strong emotions might come up. Participants will learn how to help their coachees channel these emotions and turn it into a driving force for change. To do this, the participants will learn about their own emotional reactions and how these can be used in a coaching setting. Moreover, to not get stuck in solution-oriented thinking. We will start with recognizing intuition and the way to read and make use of physical reactions of self and others. Both of these topics will come together when having a glimpse of systemic approaches at the end of the module (e.g. family constellations).

Module 3: Group dynamics & leadership
At times, trainers are required to guide the development not only of individuals, but of entire groups. In this module we will discuss the key group dynamics that are involved in group development and the role of a coach. Important in this context is to understand your own voice, and those of others. Do you always listen to your own voice, or is there an interaction with others? Furthermore, the participants will get acquainted with a set of leadership challenges: leader loneliness, leader identity, the impact of power and influence.

Module 4: Integrating learnings & defining path ahead
In this final module, we integrate the learnings of all workshops. We will go back to the initial development goals of the participants from module 1 and work on what is still needed. In addition, we define the path ahead.

Module 5: The Hike
At the end of the program the participants will join one of Peak Perspective’s hikes. The participants will be hiking for 4 days with a small group of individuals and will acquire additional knowledge about the dynamics of self and of a group. The hike offers the participants a unique opportunity to act as trainers and practice their gained skills.
